Presented for the first time at the Fairmont Grand Hotel in Kyiv, Ukraine, the piece took Debbie almost half a year to create. Consisting of 50 black diamonds (2 carats each) and about 50,000 odd stitches, this work of art costs $5.7 million!

At the 2004 Spider-man movie premiere, one of the biggest attractions, was a Scott Henshall designed dress that costs a whopping $9 million. Singer Samantha Mumba donned the little black dress encrusted with diamonds. Worried that the precious stones might fall off, she changed before the screening. “I loved wearing the diamond dress but I was worried about one of them falling off so I got changed”, said the singer.

Faisol Abdullah, the dress’ creator told Reuters in an interview that the dress is a symbol of luxury and investment: “Stocks drop, gold is even falling but a diamond is forever. This is a dress with diamonds. Why do backwards, why can’t we go forwards?” The dress was launched in Malaysia’s capital at the 2009 STYLO fashion week which showcased local and international designers.
